No doping substances. Feed supplement for horses in hard training, competing and older horses. Chondroitin sulfate, hyaluronic acid and MSM with inulin for horse.
Hyaluronic acid (HA) occurs naturally in high concentrations in cartilage and synovial fluids in animals and humans. Hyaluronic acid has an important lubricating and cushioning effect in the joints. During periods of intense training or in elderly horses, the amount of HA can decrease, and as a consequence the synovial fluid will become thin. As the viscosity decreases, the synovial fluid loses its protective and cushioning function. The viscosity increases again during rest but if the recovery time is too short, the synovial fluid can still be too thin and the next training session can then cause damage.
The size of the hyaluronic acid molecule controls its effect in the body, the larger the molecule, the better.
The hyaluronic acid molecule in Bioglucomin Competition is of a very high quality and has a size of 1300 000 Da which is a very large molecule.
Daily administration of hyaluronic acid (high molecular weight) in the feed for active horses and elderly horses has been shown to have positive effects to maintain a normal joint function.
The important function of the cartilage is to distribute and equalize the pressure caused during movement. Chondroitin sulfate is a naturally occurring molecule in the cartilage, and it allows the cartilage to dampen the effect of impact on the joint. A slow destruction and renewal of the cartilage is natural and for the building process, building blocks such as chondroitin sulfate is needed.
Natural occurrence of chondroitin sulfate decreases with age and with joint damage. During intense training and competition, the destruction rate for the cartilage tissue increases. When additional chondroitin sulfate is provided in the feed, an excess of building blocks is formed and cartilage formation is stimulated.
The addition of manganese helps in building of cartilage.
The inuline included is a metabolic dietary fiber (prebiotic) which contributes to a healthy intestinal flora for a good nutrient absorption in the gut.
Bioglucomin Competition also contains MSM, an organic sulfur compound.
For horses, the primary source of MSM is grass and the MSM content decreases considerably when the grass is dried to hay and it is almost non-existent in haylage.
A horse that has access to pasture and grass for a few hours per day and is lined with haylage will therefore inherently consume very little MSM. The need also increases with training and exercise and with age. For horses, the use of MSM has a clear and vividly noticeable impact on the rate of recovery after hard work and on its agility and mobility.
Eclipse Biofarmab always strive to add as little sugar and additives as possible in our products! This product is free from sugar!
