Since time began, horsey people have cooled their horses’ legs with water and clay after hard exercise. Swede Clay is used after hard work and in the day-to-day care of the horse’s legs. The unique composition in Swede Clay absorbs heat from the legs, having a deep-acting, cooling-off effect, which helps heal minor ruptures directly after hard exercise. Cooling reduces the flow in the bloodstream, so that small haemorrhages in the skin and surface tissue can heal faster. The clay is applied in a thick layer over tendons and joints and allowed to dry.
Swede Clay acts as a heat exchanger, in that it draws heat out of the horse’s legs and releases it into the air, allowing the cooling to penetrate further, resulting in a deep-acting, cooling-off effect. The dry clay is easy to brush or wash off.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
Rapid cooling off:
Spread a thick layer directly on the affected area. Leave until the clay is completely dry, after which it can be brushed or washed off, if required. Otherwise, it will peel off by itself.
Slow cooling off:
This first gives a cooling effect (but not as effective as just clay) and then a warming effect. The paper-packed clay acts as a stable bandage.
