90% pure Vitamin C with 10% inulin to support the uptake. Inulin is a metabolic dietary fibre.
It is generally known that wild horses are able to synthesise vitamin C themselves. Therefore, over the ages, many clever horsey people have found that horses in training benefit from an extra shot of vitamin C. This idea has been supported by clinical studies, including on young horses in Denmark, which show that growing horses in training need a vitamin C supplement.
Vitamin C is needed, among other things, for the production of antibodies (which fight infections). It helps the body absorb iron, heal wounds and strengthens blood vessels.
A deficiency can result in tiredness, poor appetite and an increased susceptibility to infections.
