Eclipse Biofarmab BioZinc includes, in addition to zinc, inulin* and diatomaceous earth. It is given to horses with confirmed or suspected zinc deficiency.

Zinc is a micromineral present in all body tissues. It is part of the composition or activation of over 200 enzymes. It is particularly abundant in the skin and fur, where it is essential for cellular regeneration and tissue repair.

Zinc is highly concentrated in the iris of the eye and is crucial for optimal immune system functioning. It is further involved in carbohydrate and protein metabolism. Notably, the body’s demand for zinc escalates in pregnant and lactating mares, as well as during periods of intense exertion.

Zinc deficiency can cause immune system disturbances, hoof damage, hair loss, and skin conditions. While the likelihood of over-supplementation with zinc in horses is minimal, excessive zinc intake can impede the absorption of copper.

We advise consulting a veterinarian and conducting a blood test to accurately determine a potential zinc deficiency.

One scoop (11 g) provides 750 mg of zinc.

*The included inulin is an organic dietary fibre derived from the chicory flower. It promotes a healthy intestinal flora, creating favorable conditions for optimal nutrient absorption in the intestine

Large-sized horse (over 600kg): 1.5 scoops/day

Mix well in feed.
