Antioxidant - important protective function in the body

APPLICATION

To be used when the Vitamin E content of the feed fails to meet the horse’s requirements.

Eclipse Biofarmab Muskel-E is a Vitamin E supplement for horses. It is ideally administered in instances where the Vitamin E content in the horse’s regular feed is insufficient to meet its dietary requirements, e.g. during intense exertion or pregnancy. Additionally, it serves as an effective aid in muscle development. Particularly suitable for horses that receive adequate selenium from their feed.

Vitamin E is an antioxidant, playing a vital protective role within the body by neutralising the so-called free radicals, which are compounds that can cause muscle breakdown during physical extertion. If this process is impeded, it can lead to significant cellular damage. Vitamin E is further instrumental in enhancing oxygen delivery to the muscles and in the formation of blood vessels. It is also essential for bolstering the immune system and supporting fertility.

The necessity for Vitamin E varies depending on several factors, including the diet’s composition, the intensity and nature of the horse’s training, and its overall performance level. Additional conditions that elevate the demand for Vitamin E include cold weather, fresh oats consumption, the intake of ensiled forage, and pregnancy.

As horses engage in more strenuous activities, their inhalation of free radicals increases, thereby amplifying their need for Vitamin E.

Insufficient levels of Vitamin E in a horse’s diet can result in muscle damage. Being a fat-soluble nutrient, Vitamin E is stored in the muscles, fatty tissues, and the liver. It is crucial not to administer excess quantities of Vitamin E.

Does not contain selenium – specifically formulated to cater to the Vitamin E requirements of horses that already receive adequate selenium from mineral supplements, complete feeds, lick stones etc.

Contains dextrose to enhance taste.
