Supplement the feed ration with vitamins & minerals
Horses need the right amount of energy, protein, salt, vitamins, and minerals to feel well and be able to perform. Forage usually covers the horse's needs for nutritional values such as energy and protein, but when it comes to vitamins and minerals, supplementation may be necessary.
The foundation of a feed ration is always analyzed forage in an appropriate amount based on the horse's size and workload. Be sure to also analyze the minerals in the forage so you know what is missing. Generally, the levels of many important minerals in our forage have decreased, and the vast majority of horses require extra mineral supplements.
A balanced amount of vitamins and minerals is crucial for the horse's health. Both deficiency and excess can have harmful consequences, ranging from diseases to poisoning.
In our range, we have several different vitamin and mineral supplements that complement the feed ration with what is not provided through forage and any potential concentrated feed.
